Together with our partner, Gross Funk GmbH located in Schopp (Germany), we have extended the mobile StageWagon mecanum drive with a functionality for clustering and circular drive. This increases the flexibility of the mobile stage wagon and enables the realisation of further fascinating show choreographies.
Several stage wagons can be connected to move even larger applications during live operation with a high accuracy and, thanks to the Mecanum drive, from any position in any direction. Of course the Robot Makers Teach&Repeat technology also provides the possibility of a programmable autonomous drive for structures with several stage wagons. This means that the paths of the sequences that have been defined during rehearsals can be repeated precisely and reliably in subsequent demonstrations.
The basis for this is the Generic Control Box with an intuitive web interface. This allows the organization and selection of recorded driving sequences as well as the configuration of the stage wagon system. It can also be used to conveniently program a circular drive around any pivot point.
The mecanum drive stage wagon is already in use on several stages and can be purchased from Gross Funk GmbH.
