Management

Dr. Hillenbrand is responsible for the electrical engineering department and focuses on closed-loop controls, embedded systems as well as drive and sensor systems.

Dr. Leroch is responsible for the field of computer science and realizes sophisticated algorithms for autonomous navigation in rough terrain under consideration of safety aspects.

MowPilot pre-series

With the MowPilot Teach&Repeat our new application kit will be presented to selected partners in a pre-series stage. In the future, the MowPilot will make the automated processing of open spaces such as meadows, freeway embankments or other green areas possible.

RowCropPilot & Vineyard Pilot Assistant

The RowCropPilot is integrated into the Vineyard Pilot Assistant as a reliable lane guidance system and is presented to the public at Agritechnica 2019 together with Braun Maschinenbau and Fendt. The overall system increases productivity and relieves the driver. For this it has been awarded the DLG Silver Medal for Innovation.

Introduction of the Vineyard Pilot Assistant

At the Vinitech Sifel in Bordeaux, our partner Braun Maschinenbau is presenting a world first - the Vineyard Pilot Assistant implement automation system. The automated positioning of the aimplements increases the area output and optimizes the work result at the same time. A real added value for the end user. The system was awarded the innovation prize of the trade fair.

RowCropPilot on tour

Our presentation tour through Europe begins with the Rheinhessische Agrartage in Nieder-Olm. At various trade fairs and in live presentations we will show our RowCropPilot autonomy kit to end users and gather important feedback. Suggestions, wishes and criticism flow directly into the further development and contribute to creating the world's best autonomy kit for the area of special crops planted in rows.

Prototype RowCropPilot

The developments from the "Field Robotics" project are bearing fruit and a first prototype for the autonomous processing of vineyards is being tested near Bühl (Baden Württemberg) during sleet in the vineyard.

First intelligent series machine

In close cooperation with our partner Gross Funk GmbH, the first Intelligent Mobile Machine from Robot Makers is introduced to the market as a series product. The Autonomous Stage Wagon simplifies the handling of large stage elements and enables open transformation at theaters, concerts and other events with unimagined precision and repeatability.

Start of development RM Environment Perception

The development of the powerful RM Environment Perception for use in structured environments such as vineyards, orchards or tree nurseries begins. To this day, this forms an important foundation for the technological leadership in Intelligent Mobile Machines for special crops.

Project Field Robotics

Starting signal for the internal development project "Field Robotics", which lays the foundation technology for the further development of a variety of software packages for Intelligent Mobile Machines in the outdoor area.

VIONA is born

After almost one and a half years of development, the prototype of our VIONA robot platform is coming off the assembly line. We still benefit from the know-how gained during the development process when implementing intelligent functionalities on proven mobile machines.

Relocation to the BIC

After using premises of the TU Kaiserslautern in the first months, Robot Makers GmbH moves into the newly built Business Innovation Center in Kaiserslautern.

Foundation

The Robot Makers GmbH is founded by Dr. Carsten Hillenbrand and Dr. Bernd Helge Leroch. It emerged from H&S Robotics Solutions GbR, which has been successfully offering robotics services since 2009.
