The HY-40 from Niko Maschinenbau is a caterpillar especially for very narrow row widths. In its field of application – among others in Burgundy – there is usually only a few centimeters of space between chain and vine. The RowCropPilot, which additionally accesses information from a global navigation satellite system for this application, steers the vehicle reliably through the rows of vines. Automated turning and entry to the next row are also possible.

The system is additionally equipped with an intelligent over-row sprayer from Amos Industrie. It switches itself on and off automatically according to the current position of the vehicle. Furthermore, the output quantity is regulated depending on the vehicle speed, the nozzles installed and the active spray bars. The configuration of the vehicle and the sprayer is done via the easy to use app on the user’s smartphone.
