From 10th to 12th of May we presented our BiSS-to-EtherCAT-Gateway on the measurement fair SENSOR+TEST 2016 in Nuremberg. The Gateway, that is based upon our Modular Control System, establishes a connection between the powerful and digital sensor-actuator-bus-system BiSS-Interface and the real-time-capable fieldbus-system EtherCAT and therefore enables the possibility to use advanced sensors with the digital BiSS-Interface in various closed loop controls.
After our successful debut at the SENSOR+TEST last year, the Robot Makers GmbH also takes part at the Measurement Fair in Nuremberg this year. From 09 to 12 May 2016 the possibilities of the electronic series Modular Control System are shown together with the central control- and evaluation-unit Generic Control Box and the software framework Finroc®, in a scenario of modern measurement technology. As a special innovation, our BiSS-to-EtherCAT-Gateway is presented, that connects the both powerful bus systems, BiSS-Interface and EtherCAT.
Last week we participated in the 4th Commercial Vehicle Symposium 2016 at the University of Kaiserslautern. At this three-day fair – beginning at the 8th of march – the most important producers and component suppliers of the commercial vehicle industry introduced the newest trends and technologies. In addition, the visitors were able to listen to a great number of speeches and presentations providing information about the latest state of technology and the future development.
Since 2010 the “International Commercial Vehicle Technology Symposium” takes place in Rhineland-Palatinate every second year. Within this event, important manufacturers and suppliers of the commercial vehicle industry present their innovations and technologies. From March 08th to 10th, 2016 we are also going to present our innovations on the grounds of the Technical University of Kaiserslautern. Besides an own booth at the exhibition, we will present in a specialist lecture with the topic “Sensor data representation – a framework for processing, combining, and visualizing information from various sensor systems” (Wednesday, March 09th, 2016, 12:30 pm) the expertise of the Robot Makers GmbH and the strengths of the Softwareframework Finroc® in terms of sensor data processing.
On November 22 the time had come again: The “Zukunftspreis” of Palatine was assigned. It is a distinction that honors “outstanding innovative ideas, products, projects and achievements that strengthen the future perspective and the sustainable development of the region”. The award is assigned every two years and addresses projects in the field of life, natural and social sciences as well as in the humanities, technology and economy.
The Robot Makers GmbH is nominated for the first prize of the “Zukunftspreis Pfalz 2015”. This tribute is honored every two years by the regional association Palatinate. This honor should “boost excellent innovative ideas, products, projects and performances which reinforce the sustainability and the sustainable development of the region.” Projects in the sector of environment sciences, natural sciences, liberal arts/social sciences, technology or economy can receive this award.
Here you can find first pictures of the new MCS Hydraulic Control, that will be available on the market in the near future. The MCS Hydraulic Control is suitable for hydraulic drives like cylinders or engines. It enables the possibility of a synchronous control of multi-axle hydraulic arms depending on joint angles. Therefore, it is perfectly suitable for the realisation of assistance functions or the automation and robotization of mobile working machines. The Robot Makers GmbH takes part at the Measurement Fair SENSOR + TEST 2015 in Nuremberg. From 19 to 21 May 2015 the possibilities of the electronic series Modular Control System are shown together with the central control- and evaluation-unit Generic Control Box and the software framework Finroc®, in a scenario of modern measurement technology. Topic of the presentation is the flexible and distributed measurement at testing stations using synchronous bus systems.
As an answer to the growing requirements of the modern automation engineering to the real-time capability of the bus systems and the high costs of the common bus components, several companies began to generate a real-time capable bus system. It is drawn up to the favorable standard components of the Ethernet-standards IEEE 802.3. One of these industrial-Ethernet bus systems is “EtherCAT”, which was initiated by the company Beckhoff Automation and is now further developed by the EtherCAT Technology Group.
Through the use of (semi-)autonomous robot systems on land, water and in the air, the search and rescue of people in critical situations shall be greatly improved. This aim was settled by the “EU-FP7-Project” ICARUS. In this connection the multilateral control technology of the Robot Makers GmbH goes into action.
