Through the use of (semi-)autonomous robot systems on land, water and in the air, the search and rescue of people in critical situations shall be greatly improved. This aim was settled by the “EU-FP7-Project” ICARUS. In this connection the multilateral control technology of the Robot Makers GmbH goes into action.
Together with the Swiss Company RUAG, the Robot Makers develop novel assistance functions in order to improve the safety of all-terrain vehicles. The expertise of the Robot Makers GmbH in that context is in particular the modelling of environment information and the control architecture.
Between the 14th and 15th of October 2014 the European EtherCat Plug Fest will take place. The Festo AG & Co.KG invites developers of the EtherCat-systems and tools to Esslingen to perform interoperability tests and to swap experiences around the topic EtherCat. Experts of the EtherCat Technology Group (ETG) will be available with their know-how for technical discussions.
In this project, the drive system control of a 50 kg tracked vehicle was realized with components by the company Robot Makers GmbH. A remote controlled vehicle of the type Digital Vanguard was equipped with a closed-loop controller for the tracks to allow the control via a PC-base interface.
On April 25 of 2014, the fourth Night of Science will take place in Kaiserslautern at the TU Kaiserslautern and institutes of the PRE Uni-Park at the Trippstadter Str. In the context of the program of the Business+Innovation Center (BIC), the Robot Makers GmbH presents a platform-based approach to robotics and automation.
In this cooperation project with the company Gross Funk, control technology for an autonomous stage vehicle was developed. This platform is optimized for the requirements of large arenas. Applications range from simple transportation tasks to complex choreographies with multiple systems. In that context the system offers a wide constructional flexibility.
The International Commercial Vehicle Technology Symposium will be held in Kaiserslautern from 11 to 13 March 2014. As an exhibitor, Robotmakers GmbH will present innovative approaches and tools for the realization of assistance functions for the commercial vehicle sector.
On March 19 of 2014 the 21. InnovationsForum Pfalz is held at the University of Kaiserslautern. In that context, the Robot Makers GmbH presents a platform-based approach for Robotics and Automation. Components and tools for rapid prototyping for product development are shown. The PC-based “Generic Control Box” is the central component of the exhibitor’s strategy for information management in industrial processes.
