The 3rd VDI Conference “Sensors for Mobile Machines” will take place at the Maritim Hotel Ulm on 04. and 05. December. Also the specialists of the Robot Makers GmbH will be represented with an interesting lecture on the podium. Under the title “Fusion of local and global sensor technology for autonomous navigation”, Dr. Jochen Hirth and Max Reichardt will explain various backgrounds of sensor data fusion. Among other things, the concept and the functionality of an efficient sensor data abstraction, fusion and representation are in the foreground. This will be illustrated by application examples from the field of autonomous mowing and autonomous work in row crops.
Further presentations at the conference will deal with topics such as “Radar sensors for automated and autonomous driving”, “3D-LiDAR application examples from logistics, agriculture, mining and manufacturing industry”, “Camera systems and 3D perception for autonomous mobile systems” or “State of the art and applications for inertial measurement systems”. An overview of the entire lecture program can be found here.
