Autonomous driving in RLP – Symposium in Mainz

At the symposium “Autonomous Driving” last Monday, 17.06.2019, in Mainz, the focus was on the challenges to be expected in the future, especially in the area of connected and automated driving, and the solutions of the Rhineland-Palatinate economy on these topics. The interesting lecture programme was complemented by a top-class exhibition with many live presentations on the current state of development. We also presented our service portfolio in the field of intelligent mobile machines to interested trade visitors.

The symposium was organised by the Ministry of Economics, Transport, Agriculture and Viticulture of Rhineland-Palatinate and the Commercial Vehicle Cluster Südwest as part of the “We move it” initiative. Robot Makers GmbH together with Braun Maschinenbau showed innovative approaches to increase efficiency in winegrowing. The award-winning Vineyard Pilot Assistant implement automation demonstrated its capabilities in a small live demonstration. Furthermore, the prototype of the predictive track guidance system RowCropPilot Assist was presented. Both systems attracted a great deal of interest from trade visitors. Volker Wissing, Minister of Economic Affairs for Rhineland-Palatinate, also visited our booth to find out about current and future developments.
