The VPA (VineyardPilotAssistant) by Braun Maschinenbau in Landau is a highly automated implement carrier that positions the tools to within centimeters of the plant. A new feature is the option to mount this versatile implement carrier on the front mounting plate or front power take-off of the tractor. This allows for autonomous operation with virtually any tractor. Simply connect the hydraulics and power supply, and you’re ready to go! The integrated sensors detect plants and weeds and use this information to position the tools precisely. For tractors equipped with a steering control system (e.g., Fendt S3, S4 and newer models, as well as SBG Raven), the driver benefits from the automatic row guidance system RowCropPilot assist from Robot Makers (Kaiserslautern).
