CVT Symposium 2018: Interesting lectures and exciting contacts

The Commercial Vehicle Technology Symposium was held for the fifth time last week at the Technical University in Kaiserslautern. More than 200 participants discussed innovations and trends in the field of commercial vehicle technology. In addition to an interesting and exciting lecture programme, which was divided into the main topics “Assisted and automated driving and working”, “Energy and resource efficiency”, “Safety, reliability and service life”, “Simulation methods” and “Innovative methods for development and production”, a exhibition was held in the foyer of building 42 and many different types of commercial vehicles were shown outdoors.

Robot Makers GmbH was also present at this fifth edition of the event, which is now well known far beyond the local borders. For example, we presented our latest development in the field of special crops such as viticulture, fruit-growing and tree cultivation in nurseries with the RowCropPilot at the trade exhibition. The vehicle on display attracted a lot of attention and was a welcome photo motif. Many new contacts were also made in the course of exciting and interesting discussions.

Furthermore, together with the Technical University Kaiserslautern and BOMAG GmbH we were represented in the lecture program of the event. Under the title”Cooperation and Communication of Autonomous Tandem Rollers in Street Construction Scenarios”, the first findings and insights from the project work of the AMMCOA project were presented.
